European Film Academy has announced this year's "shortlist" for the awards season – films that will be eligible for European Film Academy nominations (in November) and awards (in January) in various categories. The list of nominees for “Best Animated Film” includes the Latvian film God's Dog / Dieva Suns, directed by Raitis Ābele and Lauris Ābele; the film will be widely available in Latvian cinemas starting this week.
